I can see where I went wrong now, I always run WinUAE using a bootable ADF (Octamed), so I need to install Workbench now, then add as DH1, thanks for the advice.

I have a small collection of Symphonie Mods that i've always wished were supported in PC Mod replayers, but i can't find anything that plays them outside of the Amiga. Even then, i have struggled.

I'd be happy to share the set, and very keen to hear if theres a way to convert them to some other more playable mod format?

edit// just checked. I have 173 mods.

Check the symphonie readme, it might hint at some pre-requisite libs or datatypes. maybe copy them from the ADF (or HD) images to your workbench install...

Put the amd.library in place and see how it goes. Sounds pretty important considering what this app is capable of.

Not 100% sure about some of what is mentioned, I will try out on the real Amiga first then try to get my head around this lot, thanks again...

Hi all! Late to the party, hopefully not too late.

I have recently added support for Symphonie to OpenMPT and libopenmpt, finally bringing this format to players outside the Amiga. Sadly the Google Drive link is down, is there anything in there that's not in the ModLand Symphonie folder? I'd be curious to check out those files.

OMG - Thankyou Saga, i have been after a Symphonie mod replayer for years, never found one for PC, do you know of any other than your OpenMPT?

And another question. Now theres a replay routine, will this end up in a modplayer for something like Foobar. Being able to just click one and it plays perfectly in Foober would be awesome. I always found some of these Symphonie mods to be a cut above others, more channels maybe, i dunno, i just listen to the stuff

Thanks again.
Oh... Sure thing, i can make my little collection available again. One tick.

Patrick Meng himself worked on a Java port of his Amiga code but it's unfinished (I never tested it myself but I definitely know that it missed some features that are supported by OpenMPT). Some of that Java code served as a starting point for the loader in OpenMPT.

Yes, just get the latest version of foo_openmpt54: https://www.foobar2000.org/component.../foo_openmpt54

Any other player using libopenmpt 0.6 or later will support it it as well. We have official input plugins for XMPlay, Winamp. Some players based on ffmpeg also ship with libopenmpt. Here's a list of players that we know using libopenmpt: https://wiki.openmpt.org/Libopenmpt#Players

Excellent. I do use the openmpt component for foobar currently, didn't think it might be updated so quickly. I'll grab it now and have a listen to some of these mods again. Will be the first time in about 20 years i think.

As promised. I have just cross checked my symmod folder with modland and only 5 mods are not listed there (it used to be many more but i think mine got picked up and added at some point). Be good to hear your results with these few more. Hopefully they are named correctly and work okay.

I have uploaded them to "the zone".

Hmmmm, you may not have access there being on only 2 posts... I'll upload to google drive. Hang on...
