Amiga 4000T AV Module
Will the Amiga 4000T boot OK without the A/V module attached?
Just curious - my AV module is out for repair...I won't get it back for a week or so....should I leave the Amiga 4000T turned off? |

Well I tried it, and it works without the AV Module. You lose the RCA style sound connectors and RGB output, but everything else works.

No, not at all. I must have at some point accidentially hit the top of the board and broke off the caps (without really realizing it), until one day much later I saw a cap at the bottom of the case...
Anyway I have it repaired now just have to pick it up from a friend of mine who re-soldered it for me ![]() I've actually never had any leaking caps and I have multiple 4000's and two 4000T's. I turn off my machines every night, maybe have one or more of them on for 3-5 hours several times per weeks. I try to keep them very clean though! |
