Hello Amigans!

Well, you may know that it has been a LONG time waiting for this update. AKReal 9 was released in October 2017. So it has been 5 years of making small improvements one after another and making it better step by step just to achieve this very improved version that you can try right now.

You may think that this version is only for the real Amigas, but in fact it isn’t. At all. Try it using WinUAE too for a high-color RTG experience. Just a few clicks and you’ll switch it to a wonderful RTG setup. You can also listen to a huge amount of radio stations or listen to classic modules using a large variety of players. You will love it, I promise!

This is the only distro ever that, on WinUAE, allows you to change it from the initial 16 colors setup (that is amazing on a real Amiga with a good accelerator like my ACA 1230/56) to many other color formats or even high-color RTG on the fly. Then you can always switch back to 16 colors anytime. You can also change many settings using MorpheuZ and “Better Config” and make your preferred dream come true.

Why you used that version and not the latest 2.1? Did you have any issues or bugs that need to be addressed?

Wow... you've hit the jackpot. We haven't told a word about OS3.2.
I can't take any responsibility about joining OS3.9BB2 + OS3.2.... BUT IT WORKS . I will tell how to make that in some days in the support thread.
In any case, it needs an initial setup with OS3.9BB2 as usual.

I recently purchased this for use in WinUAE, and everything seems to be working great so far. (I also have the full AmiKitXE package as well.)

As with AmiKitXE, I don't bother to update AKReal to OS3.2 as that means I can no-longer use the AfA_OS themes, such as Ken's excellent "X1".


Questions...

1) Is it possible to switch to UAEGFX instead of using the PicassoIV ROM without breaking things? I tried but couldn't figure it out.

2) Slightly unrelated, but did you tweak your script for launching iGame with music? I could never get it to work in OS3.2 when I tried in the past.


Suggestions for the next release (perhaps just a mini update?)...

Yes you can, in fact much better, The UAEGFX Video Card has 256MB (Picasso 4MB), also with UAEGFX you have 32Bit graphics resolution (Picasso 24Bit), with UAEGFX less graphics artifacts on Applications and RTG Games.

Installing UAEGFX is much easier than Picasso:

- Set Up On WinUAE Board RTG UAE Zorro III (RAM 256 MB).
- Copy UaeGfx and UaeGfx.info to Devs/Monitors
- Copy "Emulation.library" and "rtg.library" to Libs/Picasso96 (you can move or delete everything else in the Picasso96 folder)
- After a reboot run Screenmode and choose the Video Resolution

Many thanks AmigaSystem, you are the best Betatester ever . I only focus on using real or emulated real hardware, but if people wants to use it on WinUAE (I do), it's nice to have the option you comment

If that's so, how it keeps working right as I've got it?. And also. I know that people likes to click "here and there", but don't like to read the "readme". In this case, I've got some more Radio Stations like Ambient Radio and CommoRadio (some options) in Sys:Utilities/Expansions/RadioStations/Scripts.There is also "Relic Radio"... I like it too, it's something "different" and nice.

Nope, it keeps being the same that I shared to be used in whatever distro (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=1154471). It does work with music with OS3.2 even. Just use my OS3.2 installation process: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=210

Edit: About the update of Hippoplayer, I tried it and it didn't work right*. That's all, and that's why it isn't here. I didn't want to tell just because I don't have much time to try any update. If it doesn't work, it won't be here, sorry. But I've always said that it's not only what I do for You in any update, so if YOU (people) can try this update and tell me how to get this working right, I'll add it with pleasure. It isn't easy: it has to able to work on AGA/RTG, Scalos/Workbench, etc, etc. Many, many things. That's why it's so hard to make any update.
*I remember that it was failing when using it from a script (Better config).

We are happy to announce the release of the new AKReal 9.2 - the unofficial conversion of AmiKit for real Amiga machines-.

This is a new FREE update just to thank you for all of your support and … 'cause it's Christmas time .

Mattahan's and 16 colors Ken's Icons have been updated too.

We've updated the content with the latest software as well as added many new features (see changelog). You will find for example an implemented AI with AmigaGPT (now working with OS3.9), nicer AmiStart Menus (shorter without the mostly useless option that was on the top of the bar), updated Radio Stations and some more options for example to change the pointer or if you are using RTG to change the images and configs to use RTG instead with a couple of clicks, etc, etc.

To enter to the http AKReal site (http://real.amiga.sk) you should use a VPN (as an example, I am using the free "Urban VPN" and I enter from “Argentina”) and then you must enable the options to enter to a “not secure” place. You can also enter with IBrowse (updated) once you have AKReal installed. In any case, these are direct links which you can use with Firefox (for example) on your PC:

- New AKReal 9.2 Full installation

- Upgrade 9.0 > 9.1 : Upgrade

If you have AKReal 9.1 and you have internet connection, you'll see that the “Live update” program will tell you that there is a new version available to be downloaded.

Q- My hard drive is full of things. Can I make the update?
A- You need at least 35 MB free on your hard drive for the update. The update installer will detect if you have room enough to update it.

Q- What happens if I'm using Mattahan’s icons and I update to AKReal 9.2, do I have to install it all again?
A- The installer will detect and update them. You can also install the complete pack over it or you also can use the Icons pack installers to install the original icons&original positions of them.

Q- It looks like you have a lot of work on your shoulders. Have you got a place to buy you a coffe?
