Modern alternative to xfd for unpacking
Yesterday I used xfd to unpack an executable that was embedded in another executable that treated the embedded executable like it was binary data and relocated the code to an absolute address and jumped to it. To get xfdDecrunch to work I had to identify where the embedded executable was and extract it and run it against that.
First question: Is there a modern updated alternative to xfd? xfd master on Aminet is from 2003? Second question: xfdScan can scan memory. Is there a tool that can locate decompression routines and data in files? |
