WHDLOAD Bubble Bobble crash!

I have the whdload v1 install of Bubble Bobble by Codetapper, but it crashes immediatelly after the logo screen, is there a newer install available???
I am running it on A4000/MK-2/060@60mhz ...

Have you tried NOCACHE-tooltype?

one of the privilege related to being stuck with 68ec20 is enhanced compatibility!!!(i know that there are always a few fanatics that argues that enhanced cpus do not threaten compatibility at all thanks to whdload but i guess error is human and 100% slaves working with 060 is a dream...stick with the roots!! vanilla 1200 rule!!

Why?

OK here is the solution for you:
The bubble bobble slave needs to be updated to work properly with newer WHDload. So if you want to play this try it with older WHDl i.e. version 15.0 like me here (060) works

edit: extracted whd 15.0 AND it's tools too on the game folder, changed the tooltype to load from there and it works!

Bubble Bobble has a problem with whdload 16.6 onwards, much like a lot of the old installs did. Codetapper knows about the problem as I dropped him a bug report. He's replied and it'll be fixed in time. Right now he's busier with more important things.

did not really knew about the new whdload probs, I thought either my machine or my settings are faulty...

a lot of the older installs stopped working with WHDLoad 16.6, chucking out resload errors. Bubble Bobble was one of these, I think it was resload_loadfile error. (at least on my machine and either THBs/Mr_Orgasm - whichever was my 'tester' at the time)

Well if you get a lot of resload errors then you need to use the latest slaves. Of all the games I've tested recently (around 1000) I've come across maybe 4 or 5 that have these errors.

The majority of them had updated slaves done not long after 16.6 was released.

Well I've got a whole load that I'm ready to upload, I'm just going through them and making sure their naming is correct (with Belgarath) then I'll actually upload them.

It shouldn't be too long but I have some other things I need to sort out first (CV and Passport). 2 weeks tops.
