pc laptop internal/external cd to amiga?

newbee question!.

I know you can use pc 2.5in hd`s with amiga,

But can you use a laptop cd drive (which i think is 2.5in)
with an amiga 1200 if converted, ie pulling the ide
cable through ot making similar modifications,

Basicly would the amiga accept the drive?

thanks,
Ta Ta.

With the right drivers, I think it would work, why not? it's a normal EIDE/ATAPI CD drive, no matter its 2.5" interface.

Yep software driver software like IDEFix should have no problem recognising it. As Akira said, the hardware side is as easy as pie and just a matter of simple connection via an IDE cable.
