Speedball 2HD on Steam - 6 December!
Coming to Steam on the 5th of December: Speedball 2 HD
My personal 2 cent: Looks like they spend a bit more time than on Chaos Engine this time, but from the trailer it doesn't look very interesting to me. |

The graphic of this Speedball Remake looks awful, surely not done by a professional graphic designer.

I quite like that graphics, but I hate game patterns, that are not necessary. Why the hell all those visitors faces in the crowd are repeating? Why all the players look the same? In my eyes graphician was just lazy.

Some sounds are from Speedball 2
[ Show youtube player ] Music is slower and have different mood. I don't like this silly dance after scoring.

Caught my attention when I heard "I scream" but my nostalgia chip malfunctions when I look at the graphics, they're too cartoony, too different from the original

Time for GMs to do a bit of work:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=922402#post922402 Maybe make a new thread starting with TCD's post and the following and integrating those from this thread. |

But its speedball 2, I would get it just for the game.
Its the gameplay that got me addicted to it when I was a kid. |

This is the game that's for phones. I've played and it has cut the gameplay,
you can not throw the ball more than 8 directions only. They have removed most special thing to Speedball 2 |

I've played and the gameplay is bad in the first play. They have introduced a strange effect on the ball like Sensible Soccer however is uncontrollable. How slow the ball is going is hopeless. It doesn't push play again

Lol yeah there were more games with these kind of warped key configurations in the time period of 1990-1994 or so; I also remember trying to play Body Blows on the PC (just to see how much it stunk) and it also had the most amazing non-standard and carpal tunnel-inducing key config if I remember correctly. Amiga games did not translate well to the PC usually.

Yes, many ZX Spectrum games have QAOP controls but it was smart move because you can play without buying joystick which had few standards, not always supported.
