turrican, lotus etc aga version ??? why never done ?

why the coders didn't make turrican 4 aga or lotus 4 aga or shadow of the beast 4 aga.
why the amiga 1200 never had a sequel of great amiga ecs series ????
Tell me why do you think the amiga coders never push efforts on this ?

I think for games in Lotus-style it was too late. And Turrican 1 - 3 don't need more colors because of smart use of them. Background should stay simple in fast action game.

At some point the Amiga software houses switched to consoles. The Amiga 1200 was released 1-2 years too late.

Mainly because of money (I wouldn't say it was a developer decision though). The AGA exclusive titles aren't that interesting to be honest: http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?...ref_hardware=2
(with a few exceptions maybe) I'd say it's mainly due to the fact that the market was rather limited and as Retro-Nerd said the consoles were far more interesting for publishers at the time AGA was available.

i read somewhere that the aga chipset wasn't the more powerfull chipset when they had to choose one for a the 1200 but it was a financial choice.
And i think that nearly every choice of hardware was leaded by cutting financial charges.
i mean, i think the amiga 1200 hardware wasn't really the choice of the maker but the choice of financial guys which now nothing about computers and didn't care really about the amiga.

@Turrican3: Yes that's basically the story of Commodore in a nutshell. There are some interesting documentaries and books about that.

Not enough AGA machines sold, so not worth for the editors to make a special AGA version.

Like someone said, the AGA machines came out 2 years to late.. or maybe if the basic 1200 would have been sold with 4Mb (2 chip + 2 fast) and a 68020 at 28Mhz, at the same time, for the same money, it would have changed something.. maybe.
