DOPUS query - screen modes

When setting DOPUS 4 up on my nice clean 3.2 setup I have come across an issue.

Normaly I would set DOPUS to clone the workbench screen, so I get a nice full screen dopus. If I do that on my new setup, when I click to edit a file, the edit window opens behind dopus.
If I tell DOPUS to use the workbench screen I get an almost but not quite full screen DOPUS but Edit windows etc open in front as they should.

Looking back at my previous setup I am not sure why.
Any suggestions? or obvious pointers I have missed- I am coming from CWB in the past so have little to no experience of configuring DOPUS.

What version of Dopus4 are you using and what application are you running ?

I didn't quite understand if it's the Dopus GUI or if it's the application hiding behind the screen.

I don't have any problems with Dopus4, except for the palette that doesn't match OS3.9, see screenshot:

I am using dopus 4.17 pre 20.

I have kind of got round it by telling dopus to use high res laced, and for each button ticking both directory opus to the front and workbench to the front. Its not ideal as when I tell it to edit the startup sequence it minimises dopus so I can see the workbench for a second, then opens ed and once I close ed it brings dopus back up. I am sure I have this setup wrong.

Do you use an RTG or PAL screen?

For this setup I am using aga on a hires laced screen mode, via an indy mk2.
(Once I am happy with this machine I will copy over to my rtg tower)

Ok i attach you my Dopus 4.17 Pre 20 configured for a RTG system but it will be good also for a hires laced screen (used big fonts)

There are many App and Volume configurations to make it all work you will need the App used by the tabs.

N.B. You don't have to install anything, unzip the archive, copy the folder where you want and run Dopus from the Icon.
