Gamebase Amiga - 2 Questions
Hope you can help a newbie to the Gamebase Amiga set-up. After help and much trying (and re-trying) I have it all set up and working.
I just have a few questions which I hope you can help me with. 1. I downloaded the WHDLoad packs and can see CD32 & CDTV titles in there. However these corresponding titles do not appear in Gambase Amiga. For example there is Beneath a Steel Sky CD32 version zip, but just the floppy and standard WHDLoad version to play in the Gamebase. Do I have to add these manually to play? I had a rather crude attempt at adding a game into the Gamebase but was not successful. I even tried adding Extra's and linking the zip to WHDLoad, all to no avail. 2. I decided to delete any non-English games to free up much needed space on my HD. However I mistakingly deleted some English games which were multi language. For example Dr. Doom's Revenge. I downloaded the zip file for this game from Planet Emu and thought it would just be a simple case of adding the game back into the Gamebase and linking it to the zip file. However although WinUAE starts up - the game does not load - stays on a black screen. I have ran the file independently from Gamebase and it loads up fine. So I must be doing something wrong, but what? Hope you guys can help with the above. |

Figured out how to add normal .adf files
Stuck on the CDTV and CD32 titles. Searched the net and for this GEMUS value in a forum (below) but makes no difference for me. I have WHDLoad CD32 & CDTV files, downloaded the games, but can't get these to work kickstart_rom=v3.1 CD32 kickstart_ext_rom=v3.1 CD32 immediate_blits=true ntsc=false chipset=AGA collision_level=playfields chipset_compatible=CD32 fastmem_size=1 bogomem_size=0 chipmem_size=4 cpu_speed=real cpu_type=68ec020 cpu_model=68020 cpu_compatible=true cpu_24bit_addressing=true cpu_cycle_exact=true blitter_cycle_exact=true cycle_exact=false |

If you have it all set up correctly, then the whdload version is selectable using the EXTRAS button. The specific whdload version to pick can be changed by editing the extras for that game.

I can amend which WHDLoad version to start up - problem is that if I select the CD32 version - it won't load via WHDLoad as it is not set up correctly in GEMUS.

Strange - all the replies have disappeared from this thread! I posted myself last night - now all gone? Nothing since the 6th August!! Last night there were half a dozen or more since then????
No PM's either explaining why - not just my posts that have gone, all the guys who replied after the 6th of August as well. My last post was a text log of my CD32 and CDTV configuration. I am not to bothered about WHDLoad now - I just want to be able to run CD32 and CDTV games direct from the standard Gamebase and try to figure out what I need to put into GEMUS in order for them to boot up. |

I did wonder if that was what you were doing but I didn't want to mention it in case it seemed like I was insulting your intelligence

I have a question re: installing Gamebase. When I start the install script, it says that v1.1 isn't installed and is recommended. Where can I get hold of v1.1 as it isn't available on the website, or can I still go ahead and install v1.6 without it?
