Beyond the Ice Palace music curiosity

two questions about the music of this let's say game

1) is the game music a chip tune?

2) i like the game tune, but what happen after 3 mins ? it's like everything goes out of tempo, until around 4 mins is a tempo mess :

Beyond the Ice Palace Soundtrack

all versions, not only Amiga seems affected, or not?
bizarre choice

Send a message via ICQ to Predseda
I do not find anything strange in the music.

shame this piano version plays just the first 2 minutes, avoiding that particular sequence :

[ Show youtube player ]

40/50 'strange' seconds imo

It's a David Whittaker custom module. This format can have both chip and samples.

Bad conversion to MP3?

Try a native Amiga player like Eagle Player.

https://aminet.net/package/mus/play/Eagleplayer

Team Wanted did their own EP player for David Whittaker modules. Maybe try that?

i think it was the composer decision, the c64 and spectrum versions sound in the same way too
it's like a way to change/shuffle a bit the sound path, but imo some instruments attack tempo seems a bit garbled in those 40 seconds

just how i perceive it ofc
