harddrive boot priority via uae-configuration

@Toni:

Is it possible to implement changing harddrive boot priority via uae-configuration ?

I know it may be pointless, but so is floppy drive sound emulation

It's already possible. Go to hardrives tab, highlight a harddrive entry and click properties.

From there you can change the boot priority.

Don't forget to save the config afterwards.

I know that!

I want it to be changeable via uae-configuration CLI command.

I don't think it works because:

1) every harddrive has same config entry name (There is newer "uaehfX" but it is read-only currently)
2) each time harddrive config entry is read (filesystem2/hardfile2), it will add new entry, it does not replace existing entries.

= 1) needs updates.

Will be implemented in next version

<snip>
Added uae-configuration harddrive attribute modification support:
Syntax: uaehfX_Z where X = unit number, Z = attribute name. (for example: "uaehf0_bootpri 10")
Attribute names: devicename, volumename, root, bootpri, read-only, filesys, controller.
Syntax is write-only. Use plain uaehfX to check current values.
Reset required to activate modified settings.
</snip>

Hi

Sorry, to resurrect this old thread, but for this feature it is stated that it is write-only. Since it was implemented, is there now a read version?

I would like to extract the volumename from the settings - for example, I was expecting to be able to do a "uae-configuration uaehf0_volumename" and it would return just the volume name.

Thank you!
