Which one would likely result in potentially better performance?
1. Line mode: "Double"
2. Line mode: "Normal" + Vert. size: "2x" 3. It wouldn't matter. Thanks in advance ![]() |

"It depends"
1 always needs more CPU power. 2 can be completely free (GPU accelerated) or it can take lots of CPU power. Mostly depends on used filter and d3d/dd configuraration. |

How about this one?
There's a reason I'm asking this. The Double Line Mode option is necessary for displaying interlaced screens, but given the current quality of deinterlacing, also adversely affected by the scanlines effect which effectively halves the perceived resolution, I find little point in wasting CPU cycles with the Double Line mode. For whatever reason, the 2x scaler doesn't seem to be particularly faster than the Double Line Mode with my config, but any gain, as little or as irrelevant as it may seem, does still interest me, I'm a performance junky ![]() |
