Like I said, I have no idea what my order no. Is. I did contact the store few times a year ago and got a generic responses. The guy was not able to lookup my order number. So I wasted 30 days trying to find out where my 700$ has gone. Sorry. My phone is 7 years old. The screen is shot. I'm clearly on a budget. My bank acct numbe and original pre payment methodr has changed too. So I have no way to get a refund. Great success. Last edited by Hackerman; 29 January 2022 at 15:06. 7 or 8 screws on the bottom and the whole thing pops open. 1 screw to hold the floppy drive in place (the one that keeps falling inside the shield). The original hard drive (Seagate) juits there. Never remove the RF shield. Electronic engineering fail. |

I realize I'm way back in the cue with the "SE" keyboard layout, but by now, I think I'm on my 5th "delay due to Chinese New Year" ;-)
Anyhoo, I'm still glad these things are done at all, even if it takes years for them to materialize. ![]() |

Obviously the pace never picked up, and if unskilled child labor can help put these things together, the rest of the adult Amiga enthusiast population many of whom do have 25 or 35 years of soldering and project kit building and modding experience can handle it, or pay a local electronics repair service to solder it if they can't. Warranty? Do we even expect there to be any service or warranty repairs on these from AOTL? I sure don't. We can't get the boards we ordered to start with, or an honest update, or an email returned. I don't think there is even the slightest chance of getting any help from them in a warranty situation even if they did assemble it. So whats the difference? I would PREFER to build it myself, and I would even still pay full retail price for the kit unassembled! And be fine to fully accept the lack of any warranty. --------------- Kipper you've made the PERFECT product, it solved SO MANY issues with building or using an old amiga 500/1200/Pi that needed to be solved. ![]() It's just been so painful to taste something that is actually REAL, but then it turns out to be essentially unattainable due soley to ATOL's mismanagement of a 'side-business' that presents itself as real business. . |
