Again On ADFs !!!!
Well this is a very in-depth question
In the presence of more than one disk for a game, it's important the date of the adf image ? In a game of 5 disks, for example, if the date of disk 3 is different from the others dates, it means something ? And the size ? Sometimes alternate images have different sizes, also It's better "same" dates and "more big" file size in a sequence of disk file images ? Nobody will answer me, this time (I think) |

As far as I know the dates don't matter.
Any size differences are probably just down to slight differences in what was on the disk that the image was taken from and probably won't matter either. |

i point you to the tosec site for the legenda on their nomenclature.
or here: http://startaq.ath.cx:10080/wiki/tnc the [a] flag means only that the disk in question has a number of bytes different from the first one they have given a name to. it doesn't states neither a priority in the disks, or which one is best for your needs, obviously. the number of different bytes may only mean that the highscore or a readme file inside are different, for instance. the only flag that you have to check for this purpose is [b], that means the disk has a number of badly dumped bytes, so it is damaged. about the date: when you copy the file on your harddisk, the creation date of the file changes; if you then modify the file , the adf in this case, within winuae also the modification date changes. therefore dates are meaningless in regard of what there is inside the disk. |
