Shapeshifter - Can It Run Other 68k Oses?

Im feeling a sense of dejavu while typing this so its not impossible Ive asked the question before, but I was wondering if anyone has tried installing OSes other than Mac OS inside shapreshifter and/or fusion??

I dont know if its even possible, but something like UCLinux for the 68k mac that's being emulated seems a good place to start.

The problem being however that Im a bit unsure as to how Id even start to try. My experience with linux is limited to x86, either live booting a disc or via a virtual machine, and installing something like uclinux requires a bit more knowledge to install.

If anyone is able to help, or even suggest other OSes to try inside Shapeshifter Id appreciate it.

I think there is a reasonable chance that ShapeShifter and/or Fusion might run something like UCLinux. After all, they are Macintosh emulators, not Mac OS emulators, like Executor, for example, which emulates Macintosh System 6 on MS-DOS, Win32 or Linux.

Remember that WinUAE needed MMU emulation added in order to run a Unix-like OS, so it's not a forgone conclusion.

Yeah, that's why I was thinking of uclinux,.. no need for an mmu. So far as I know shapeshifter doesnt utilise one on the mac side (only for some amiga side drivers).

There's also a 68k version of OS/9, but I have next to no experience with that so arent sure if it requires an mmu.

Still interested in giving this a try if anyone is able to help me please.
