I tried, pretended that I know what I am doing... did not last long enough for me to consider I am playing the game.
My cousin was into Deuteros, but I never managed to figure it out. |

Deuteros definitelly looks very interesting guys.
Gotta try it. Is it realtime, or turn based? Can you compare it with any other titles? Is it like Reunion maybe? On the first look, it kinda reminds me on Reunion. |

When I tried it there was no HOL or EAB... Got it from cousin, who still lives in Offenbach am Main. At the time, I did not speak any English. (Not that I am doing much better today ) Last edited by Anubis; 06 June 2022 at 20:53. |

I see you snatched the bundle. I was looking at it earlier. I think I have most of them, but it would be nice to have them much easier installed from steam. (another proof I am getting old and lazy )

After all, us, Amiga fans are getting older and older and it's a given that in time there will be less and less of us. We gotta help each other, right? |

The gameplay loop of Dune is hard to make sound like it is fun. What do you do? Essentially find and deploy "resources" (mostly Fremen squads and equipment for them to use) to gather spice, cultivate crops and kill Harkonnen. If you don't do it in the proper proportions, you'll lose because you either won't have enough spice, or you won't have enough (motivated) troops. Meanwhile you're looking for the triggers to make the rather thin plot progress. A plot which really takes a back seat, I mean you meet Chani and she instantly falls head over heels in love with you just by looking at you. That ain't how it happens in the source material I still love the game because it was so experimental and it was exceptionally well-designed to reflect the Dune universe. Cryo made one other similar game which is Lost Eden, which leaned more towards the plot than the resource management subgame. I find that one slightly more replayable because then the epic style of the game has more time to breathe. |
