Hi, will this card (or is) compatible with Mediator PCI or Zorro bus-boards?

The honest answer is: we don't know.
We are very close to sending the first units to people who showed interest. We have tested the Tsunami on many A1200 boards but really we do not have access to any mediator, we hope that some of those who receive them will try it and tell us if it works or not.

BTW, picture from the back side:

Update!
Cards received from the factory and testing them.

By the way, if someone wants to put an FPU (not included) it works.

Very interesting video - thanks for that. I can't quite explain the differences in performance. In the bustest you can see that the chipram performance of both cards is almost the same and yet the visible result in demos is worse. Fast RAM is clearly better connected on the Taifun - that's why the Drystones in Sysinfo are almost head to head. However, it is inexplicable to me that individual demos produce graphics errors or crash completely.
  • The test was carried out on the same system with exactly the same software configuration?
  • The Taifun ran without an FPU?
  • The demos were started via WHD with the same tool type settings?
  • Does the Taifun work with an ACA500/plus?

My Taifun is on its way - I am very curious and will compare it with my other 030 TK.

maybe the implementation of the ram chip accesses are not perfectly designed in TF CPLD?

According to the comments, TF says the issues were fixed. Would be interesting to see a rematch with the new firmware update applied. Hopefully performance is the same for both. More options for Amigans is never a bad thing

On my Blizzard 1230-III @ 50Mhz the Nexus 7 demo looks to run a bit slower than the TF1230 video above when I start it from a normally booted Workbench 3.1.4, and slightly faster than the Tsunami video when I run it with no startup-sequence.

yeah it is interesting that people did know about issues but then was thinking it was better to be quiet about issues and do a video instead of what would be normal to do: report it.

anyway. those issues was fixed faster than it would be to edit that video..

To be honest, when I first read about this new card, I thought "why yet another 030 based accelerator?"

But now that I saw the comparison videos, I have to admit that I am really impressed Very nice piece of hardware you have developed there

Edit: Just noticed that this is my post #2^8 - hooray

Since when does someone report bugs in a competitor's product?

sure they are all fixed? and do you really think that the list of TF bugs that I have is only showed in this video?

Competitor? It's open source, free to the community and anyone who wants to use it or even improve it. No one is making any real money from this.

Frankly I did think your little 'demonstration video' was thinly veiled advertising and yeah, you've confirmed it. I find that very poor taste indeed.

Best of luck with your projects, you won't be seeing any of my money.
