Lotus 2 Player 1 using keyboard
Is it possible to play Lotus challenge 2 with just a keyboard on your Amiga? I read in the manual that Player 1 MUST use a joystick, and player 2 has an option to choose what he wants to play with.
I just thought that was a bit strange, its not the sort of game i would play with a joystick, if its anything like Top Gear 2 on the SNES. (Which im a huge fan of). Thanks. |

I think technically it was possible, but who thought that someone had Amiga without joystick.

Well Lotus 3 allows player 1 & 2 to use the keyboard, obviously realizing that they could have done it anyway :P

Well seeing as the keyboard code is already in there, I am sure a whdload patch could incorporate this!

I can only run games via floppies, is it possible for people to load patched games onto floppies which can be run by stock amigas?

Some games are easier when you play with keyboard.

I've already ordered a joypad, was just wondering why the game didnt support 2 players using the keyboard. I suppose with an amiga its harder than a PC, as the keyboard is seperate from the machine and is easily shared.
By the looks Lotus 3 on the Amiga still forced player 1 to use the Joystick whereas player 2 could use either a keyboard or a joystick. The PC port of Lotus 3 however allowed them to both use Joysticks, or both use the Keyboard, or like the Amiga, use one of each. |

Everyone had joysticks or pads, they were cheap and widely available. It was one of the great things about owning an amiga instead of a PC at the time.

The all-time DIVINE machine, ZX Spectrum, allowed keyboard usage on all games, even though mostly all of them had a joystick option as well...
Those were the days!!! |
