A conversion of the arcade original could still be interesting though

Always felt the Amiga/ST conversion could have been done with a bit more love.

Me as me would focus more on the classics, so i would say Gyruss or Juno First are asking for a port - those two are definitely on the Amiga capabilities

Honestly, I still think Galaga is more than possible on Amiga 500. Heck, if you need to add a status bar so be it!

Galaga is probably going to happen at some point, but probably on A1200 to create a 1:1 version (same hardware as Xevious) and could be degraded to ECS.

Donkey Kong is in progress (Mark is kept busy with Pengo and everything I'm throwing at him so it slows him down). There's also someone who's currently porting a 1:1 Frogger

I love Gyruss but it requires a lot of RE (no source available), music is complex, ... a bit too ambitious. And I don't play Juno First a lot.

What about Gaplus? Is that too much for the poor old A1200?

I don't have reversed source code for that game and never played it either.

I have reversed source code for Galaga and I played it to death

I guess the choice is clear
