Dataflyer SCSI to IDE+SCSI?
I've noticed some Dataflyer SCSI cards available recently, that have pinouts and labels for adding IDE hardware.
It looks like a very small amount of hardware. Basically 3 chips, a few resistors/capacitors, and some pin headers. Does anyone know EXACTLY what would be needed to add the IDE feature to these cards? |

Seems you need to add DTACK PAL, the BUSS PAL must be changed into a SCSI/IDE version, most likely the firmware EPROM needs to be changed. Then the easy part: three 74LS254s + the resistors above them (you can decode them from the pictures on amiga.resource.cx) + the IDE pin header.
The PAL contents need to be found from somewhere, this is probably the difficult part. |
