Btw, how about Apollos (1230) ?
Should 60 ns simms work ok ? I just installed two 70 ns 8 Mb simms, which seem to work ..?! :-) -Any Apollo pilots out there ? lol |

@macce2
Apollo030's mk3's are pretty awesome... I have one with two SIMM ports added allowing up to 64MB (in two sticks of 32MB)... 60ns and 70ns worked fine... both FPM and EDO worked a treat..... it was only when i got to my 060 that somethings didn't work... the EDO sims seemed not to work or proved intermittent, it was only after I got 60ns FMP that the 060 actually behaved! |

@Zetr0
Which ones, 60 ns or 70 ns, are actually (and originally) recommended for use with Apollo1230..? I think I 'm now using that card with two IBM:s 8 Mb (70ns ?) simms and I think my machine seems a bit unstable. However, it somewhat works. Wouldn't it be any more stable, if I got 3.1 roms..? (now it has 3.0) |

@macce2
60ns or 70ns should be perfectly line, currently on my 030 i am using 2x 16mb sticks of FMP @ 60ns and its as good a gold there are some documented issues between accelerators and some motherboard revisions so have a look into that as some motherboards require a *fix* for them to function properly. @Paradroid I do so hope you get your 060 sorted and back to you m8y! it would great to get that 060 saga outa the way. 060's are completely awesome... you wont regret it when ya get your card back m8y, just post me one of the sticks back so i can forward it onto jimbo |
