Two Questions, about A1200 HD and wired LAN

First, Ive gotten some checksum errors on my Amiga 512 meg SSD.. This is a bog standard oldstyle early generations SSD not CF card

But what are the usual reason for such ? I tried to reformat the SSD but the other day checksum errors reappeared on one block again, (apparently NOT random blocks.) I deleted a few files and renamed a few files directly before I got the message .. Really frustrating ..

And I have a question about wired LAN as well. I have A PC CARD network card with a TP link to my switch downstairs. I dont believe I have any grounding errors in my place, but the switch downstairs is connected to a grounded outlet, but my Amiga upstairs are not. Can this be dangerous ?

I also had this Amiga1200 opened the other day to try to install the ACA1230 (not successful, long story. )

I do believe I got these errors before LAN and opening of Amiga .. Can it simply be the SSD ? Its some kind of very early generation 512 meg SSD disk ... Bought from Miles Industrial in the UK, (I THINK that was it) a couple of years ago.

Maxtransfer set correctly?

You will find various numbers for that, but 1fe00 or 1fe0 are the correct ones to try.

Copy a 800kB lha packet onto the drive and then test it.
