The Amiga Book

(I realise this has been briefly mentioned in the "What Amiga Coverage do You Want to see in Retro Gamer" thread, but felt this could do with a standalone post as people may miss it)

Blurb from the web site:
Quote:
We’re big fans of the Amiga, so we felt it was the perfect time to create an exciting new bookazine.

The Amiga Book is 180 pages of incredible content, featuring some of the best games and developers to ever appear on an Amiga system.

Worms, The Secret Of Monkey Island, Shadow Of The Best, Speedball 2, Another World, The Chaos Engine and Superfrog are just a few of the classic games featured, making it an essential read for those who want to learn the history behind these landmark games.

But that’s not all. To ensure that this book is as good as possible, we’ve commissioned six new articles that have never seen print before. We’ve also updated entries with new information and brand new screenshots (over 250 in fact) to ensure that the production values are as good as possible.

The Amiga Book is £9.99 and will be available to buy from 31st December in all good retailers. You can also buy it directly from the Imagineshop.

Nice one, I will be getting this, it's what I asked for in the What Amiga Coverage do You Want to see in Retro Gamer thread.

" I'd love for Retro Gamer to release a book for the Amiga like they did for the Megadrive & SNES, I'm sure they could fill a whole book on just the amiga. "

Looking forward to getting a copy.

This looks very impressive and a good price also. It will make a nice addition to the forthcoming Amiga Kickstarted book.

I will definitely buy the book, but probably from some retailer. Postage to CZ is a killer on imagineshop, pity.

Yeah, do you know any alternatives? Postage price for my country is almost close to the item price.

Very badly sold in retail, went to Canterbury, was meant to be in stock on the 31st of December and not being sold in Westgate either. Guess I'll pre-order but didn't want to due to postage

Same here, not available in the local WH Smith in Didcot which was surprising. They had the RG Annual, the current edition of RG and bizarely last months RG all on the shelf. I previously bought the C64/ZX Speccy book from that particular shop.

I tried to order it on Amazon.co.uk, but I have an error message: "Sorry, this Seller doesn’t deliver to Italy". Is there a way to order it somewhere else?
Thank you

I ordered mine a couple of days ago, I tried to buy it on day of release from my local WH Smiths but it wasn't available.

Don't think anyone has found a copy in the shops yet.
