That looks very very interesting.

Will have to keep an eye out at Live Arcade for this one.

It's interesting to see random companies resurrect old classics at random for the modern platforms.

It often confuses me though as to who owns the copyrights to the likes of Toki and Pinball Dreams/Fantasies nowadays. I mean, are Digital Illusions no longer really connected to the latter for instance?

Philippe told me They own the toki licence they had bought to convert the game.
They still have it They would never have started to build a new game without the legal authorizations.

And yes finger crossed for a PC version !!!

Philippe is a friend of mine, i will know before everyone if it ever happens.

I was aware about Toki preparing a month ago.... was told to keep it secret until today

Aaaahhh now see I didn't think it was that easy. I mean TAD Corporation went under like years ago so I wonder if that meant the Toki license was floating in limbo/the public domain for all these years?

All this retro revivialness makes me wonder if Pang is next for a reglossing/iPhone job. Or maybe Rodland!

beautiful, just stunning 2D graphics. Hope the gameplay is a little less unforgiving in the remake and I surely hope for a PC version.

I suppose you refer to the buttons and joypad?

I don't own an IPhone, but since the iPhone uses a touch-screen, I can only guess that these are the areas you have to press to obtain the selected action (i.e. jump, move forward, etc...)

Dont want to be rude but IMHO it does look slightly cheap to me, original had more lush colors and the animation in the HD version seems choppy.

And as someone mentioned, Toki was a quite hard game, Anyone made it to the second level? third?

I played with infinite credits on MAME and could not get past the third level IIRC. Definitely one of those games best let to rest IMHO.

Toki level 3 is not the hardest to get thru. Level 5 is the hard one
