A2386 with TI 486SLC2-50 - only shows 25Mhz and no cache enabled

Hello Amigans!

This weekend's project is an A2386 Bridgeboard.

I have it working well inside my A2000 with WB 2.1 and 25Mhz A2630. It has the clock doubled 486SLC2 chip installed.

I have a heatsink and fan on it to keep it cool. It has been running perfectly all day.

I am able to do a lot, I installed DOS 6.22 via shared HD Amiga floppy, played a VGA game and ran a few utilities though I have not installed an IDE HDD on the ISA bus just yet. (Using slow hardfile for now)

I researched several forums about the clock doubled TI486SXLC2-G50-PQ CPU and my big question is how to enable 50Mhz speed and also enable the cache?

I downloaded BBCPUCLK from Aminet and put the execute statement inside my autoexec.bat and I know it runs without error on reboot.

Launching Norton sysinfo (v8) still shows a 25Mhz clock and a score of only 15.7

I remember finding a utility searching Vogon's or somewhere, specific to the TI chip for enabling clock doubling and the 8k cache. I imagine I need this exact TI utility to enable the goodies.

I see references to it on other forums, but I cannot locate the software.

Can anyone help me?

I am hoping to get the CPU set correctly, then tackle IDE HDD next.

Cheers,

Tim

Thanks! I thought I was missing something.

I'll try it soon and post a reply.

Replied on AmiBay as well. Almost there. I'm at 39.4 Norton SI, so I assume clock double is not on, or is this the max?

Thanks @nobodyii
