Yes, only 1 frame before white flash when happens just before " EB Logo scene ".

I made a video ( for myself ) to confirm and then looked at image / image to be sure what I saw.

Do you think is it a cpu speed related!?
Have you tried to test it with 2x(A500), 1x speed or some custom CPU frequency?
If it still happens on a different CPU freq. then probably is something else.

Although I'm not sure how important that is because the 68020 emulation is still too far to be really cycle-exact, as far as can be said.
(although still good enough for the vast majority of demos tested)
I also notice that maybe the difference in CPU speed when the cache is off or when it's on is maybe a little too big compared to the actual cpu,
because it's not possible currently to adjust a cpu speed to to satisfy both scenarios.

A/No ( for this case ). Because major " cli returns " are dissapears after my first report ( between b33 and b34, and he was present with all versions since at least v3 ).



B/ Yes " really " cpu cycle exact EC020 is impossible at this day. I already knew. And I know the reasons.

Note : Yesterday, I forgot to post here for demos. My original post from yesterday in beta thread was unclear ( and edited ).

Since beta 40 (this is correct with b39,b38,b37... since new chipset emulation ), I noticed the return of the problem of the "ghost" scene just before the credits in the Sp (id) by Zomo demo.

Normally there is just a black screen before the credits scene. Now the scene reappears shifted (instead of the black screen).

Quickstart A1200.

Previously it probably did nothing in WinUAE because none of bits that sets were not emulated.

Currently it does not try to detect invalid modes that are incompatible with real displays. At least obviously impossible modes will be emulated (=blank screen or something similar) but that won't happen until after 4.9.

A loss of sync is usually a 'black screen' for almost all current devices.

Who knows what monitor the original programmer had and what effect that weird writing produced on his display. And probably just for him

I have retested all the old problematic demo AGA (only those that were no longer problematic since the new blitter emulation, 6 or 7 demos that have become fully functional without glitches since 4.4.0 ) and everything is still fine with the RC2.

With the new blitter emulation, it had become 100% functional (tested ok on a real A1200, crash with4.4.0 ). But since the b39 the crash (with guru) after the scene of pic1 is back.

Strange demo, some parts look unfinished / glitchy and the synth sound on the greets in the end part just sounds totally wrong, is it meant to have that stutter effect?

I do not really know. A member of the AF forum had made a video of a real A1200 2MB during my tests. If this can help you get a feel for it.

I noticed a slight difference in the part where its drawing trails of lines, seemed to have an end where on emulation I don't think it did the same. And the guy cut the demo just before it started to play the music I meant

Just used the latest beta on this demo and after the monkey face (?) you get the swirling effect but if finished differently to the AF real 1200 video on here. I don't know if there are different versions of the demo (I used the one posted in the thread here) but there's a clear difference in the way the part finishes.. (swirl goes to top right and makes a semi box shape, the emulated one cuts off as the swirl is bottom left)

As said, it could be a different version, I just used the out of the box 1200 config, no changes..

May be nothing but, just in case, apologies if it's nothing..

On a real Amiga:

• there is something wrong with sound
• there are graphics bugs in Credits Part

On WinUAE:

• sound plays perfectly
• there are graphics bugs in Credits Part

What is wrong with this demo?
