Excellent work guys! I haven't got a CD32 and have never owned one yet even I'm excited about this release. I've been toying with the idea of getting one since, oh roughly round about 1993, so maybe this will tip the balance.

I'd be happy to post a copy to anyone who hasn't got a fast enough connection to download it as long as they cover the P+P.

SEGA CD Compilation???

I wondered if it coud be possible to realize a compilation of Mega drive games on cd and play it on a sega cd ( like the CD32 complilation by frostwork for the Amiga cd32). Please be patient, i'm ignorant about the argument so probably i'm talking crap.

Is impossible to play MEGA DRIVE ROMS in a Mega CD. So, is impossible to make a compilation. The classic amiga games run as CD32 is an amiga. SEGA CD (Or Mega CD, as is called here) is not a Mega Drive. Is a Mega Drive add-on. Amiga has not ROM games, also.

The closest thing to that would be the HK/Bootleg 21gamesIn1 chartridges. Or more up to date, the 6in1 megadrive joystick being sold in most toystores.

OFF TOPIC: Yes, is the Flash Cart from TOTOTEK.COM. It runs MD and MD32X games. It's a great piece of hardware and it runs perfectly.

ON TOPIC (Please, keep the topic ): It's great the DEMOS and CRACKTROS section of the CD-888 I never stop watching some of them! (What do you think about the use of the CD32 as a "demo presenter"?)

Also, how about 888-7 seals? Hope they'll run

Hiho

Of course the cd32 would be a quiet cool demo-presenter, but ATM i'm not
sure if I'll make a compilation (if so then in winter... )

Oh, the 7 seals....
I tried it a little, but's been a while and to be honest I forgot it...
Ok, soon

Hi all!

Some news and a question....

- I've got my cd32 back
- my Pegasos-CD32-livecd WIP already works, but is not yet finished
(ATM I'm using the cube-livecd kernel, which sadly doesn't have joystick-support;
my own kernels don't want to boot from cds.... -> 'll have to look deeper
into this)
-cd-game-isos, uaerc-config & kickrom will be replaceable
- could boot on both pegasos & cd32 in theory... )

- standalone 7 seals are 99% finished, BUT now my question:

Which packer should I use, so the cd is still bootable?
(RAR wouldn't be the best answer I'd like to read, as I have no X86-hardware,
but if there's no other chance, I'll use WinRAR via xbox-linux-wine )

Hi all. First of all a big thanks to Frostwork! I really appreciate what you have created here.

Rochabian: Thanks for creating a direct link to the files, you rock! Now I know its my first post, but I am a long time retrogamer/cd32-user, and I was wondering if you (Rochabian) could do something similar with Frostwork's CD32-444? I don't have all that fancy edonkey stuff (and even if i had, It wouldnt run on my imac
So if you had the space to spare on your website, then I would love to see direct links to CD-444, which I read somewhere is way smaller than the 888.

Hope you all keep going strong with the force of Commodore Amiga.

HiHo!
Browsing this thread or the one about the 444 (both here and on total-emu)
is said to be helpful with finding nice stuff .....
BTW the 444 is BIGGER than the 888

Frostwork, hi-heya. Yeah, ofcoz I did that before I asked, but I could only find info where you had to sign up to several boards to get access to an ftp. I was born real lazy and I kinda figured that when I had signed up to those boards and attained access to the ftp, that it would somehow be down...
I'll try again and see if I missed something in those threads!

EDIT: heh, I guess I was too lazy, that wasnt too hard at all. Big thanks to Kombatsanta!! ^^

Hehe have fun!
(maybe I can make a mac-compatible kernel somehow for the livecd, then
you can play it on your imac, too... )

Nono, this baby needs to run on the original cd32 hardware!
I might later, however, try it on win-uae-x v.8 (xbox).
Actually I should also check out Amiga Emulation on OS X... hmmm hmmm.

Good luck with the xbox!
I had some trouble to get these babies working correctly ...
I've just been on evilrichs HP, he seems to keep on working with his mighty
e-uae:
http://rcdrummond.net/uae/test/20050519/

Maybe wait some more time and your e-uae OSX port will be even better...

Thanks for the heads-up. Is evilrichs's e-uae the best uae port for macintosh osx, in your opinion?
I previously tried cd32-100 and cd32-200 (also your work?) on the xbox, and they ran ok. I do prefer booting up the old cd32 any day though, cd32 cd's is too fancy food for that stinky xbox!

Hi again!
e-uae is surely the best uae port for X, as the other ones are based on
uae-0.8.22 or s.th. (same as on linux)....
The 100 & 200 are not mine - gary made them...
I only have the 200, and I noticed that it worked better on the xbox than
my 444&888 (maybe mine have too many files or s.th?)...
But who cares: TV: AV1=xbox, AV2=CD32
