Wow... no mention of Rapelay?
Japanese rape simulator which I... actually don't find offensive. The "Simulated rape" fantasy is well represented in Japan and this is nowhere near the worst show of it... however it ended up attempting sales on Amazon.com and then came the shitstorm. It DOES, however, have possibly one of the funniest "bad endings" in these sort of sex-sims. Get one woman pregnant from your forced sexual attack and she gets her own revenge - kicking your ass then throwing you in front of the subway train as it comes. Awesome. |

speaking of bad charities, on robin hood you could offer a donation to someone and before they collect it, shoot them. the net effect on your popularity was positive!
the holy baths was a bit dodgy too |

There was a game in the 80's called Death Ship or ghost Ship [something like that anyway] that was a text adventure that to complete you had to rape one of the characters. i remember the poostorm it created.
Res Evil 5 caused offense to many regarding its representation of africa and africans [ i kinda argree with the offended too] but then the Japanese are pretty off the radar when it comes to somethings. The no Russian level in Modern Warfare 2 has done a good job of offending those who cant, or dont want to, see the satire and irony there. but then again the game is so badly scripted in narrative terms that the level is just there [or appears to be] to make money for activision. these games , and others in this thread, would make a great academic study. slightly off topic a mate at work is thinking of doing a paper on offensive gamertags on steam and xbox live *warning possible offensive links* [ Show youtube player ] [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by pubzombie; 09 January 2010 at 23:47. Car Massacre is not enjoyable because of very poor collision detection - you can crash into thin air.

Pools of Darkness was offensive too: some bosses were Tanar'ri demons (Chaotic Evil), presented as follower of Bane, a Lawful Evil god!!!! >__<

Postal 2 is probably the most fucked up game i have played and one that i played for only about 3 hours before realizing its just plain sick and has no real gaming merit. I never went near it again after pissing on people, pouring petrol on them and setting them alight, decapitating people and kicking their heads around...etc....
Whoever made that game should be put into a mental institution and left there. |

when we play we are having fun - when we have fun with the grotesque or uncomfortable it can be considered to be satirical, however it all depends on your 'reading' of the text hence some people loved it and others freaked. |

I find it offensive when any game that takes place in Istanbul or Turkey pictures us speaking English with Arabic accent (not that I don't like Arabs), pictures us like who want to exchange his camel (camels and deserts in Turkey!?!) with the blond girlfriend of the hero, pictures us like barbarians, thieves, evil, with very dark skin, etc... I'm not a racist or anything like that but truth is majority of Anatolian Turks don't have dark skins.
Don't understand why Western world (and lately even the Chinese) think we are aliens. |

Most offensive game ever goes to: Roll or Die. It were programmed by some demo group, although the graphics make it look like a commercial game. Theirs a WHDLoad install of this game for those who want to be unfortunate to have a look at it. Very distasteful game though; it took the mick out of disabled people in wheelchairs. Who ever programmed it was a real sick little monkey.
