Big grin Space Vegetables

It'd be great if Peter Johnson could find Space Vegetables and get it released!

I do remember playing and owning either this game or a game very much like it :s It was an odd one because I needed to boot my A500 with kickstart 2.0 before it would actually work. If I remember correctly you were walking around on some planet in a regular "Captain cosmic" space outfit and you had to defend your crops from aliens that tried to steal them. I got it together with Winter Supersports 92. Legit, not pirated.

@Gimbal: Do you still have the game somewhere? It could well have been bundled as an extra. It was reviewed in a German magazine in a 4 game compilation but I had no proof it was released. It's been on the MIA game list, in fact there's no HOL entry for it yet. If you could find it that would be super!

Unfortunately, all my Amiga stuff is gone. GONE

My Amiga broke and basically all my software went to some other people, who moved away and were never heard from again.

Man that would be really a shame as I'm pretty positive I actually had this sucker in my possession. But yeah, at the time it was no more than a silly little game.

It was a compilation pack I now remember. Demon Blue, Winter Supersports and "the game that could be space vegetables".

It's actually the same compilation that Codetapper is referring to : http://amr.abime.net/review_24693
Would be great if we could get some kind of confirmation that this compilation existed.
Oh an you're both wrong, it's five games

thats the weird part then, because Ninja Rabbits and Summer Olympiads I did not have. But a possible explanation is that I had been given these games by someone else, so then I just had the incomplete set. But I did have the original discs + manuals, not copies

But given this piece of evidence yes; I did have space vegetables.

Okay, that explains it Bit of a shame noone else seems to have that pack, but maybe we haven't looked hard enough for it yet.

Edit : At least one person owns that compilation : http://www.softpres.org/?id=:games&gameid=1378
Guess we should add it to HOL (as well as Space Vegetables).

Edit2 : Created a new thread for the Space Vegetables hunt Sorry gimby, but you'll have to cut the praise for Codetapper's site and paste it in a new post in the other thread Quite sure you can handle it.

Codetapper sent an email and we're looking where this disk came from to see if we can get the others...

Better late than never Ian! I've had this sitting on my hard drive since about this time last year in the queue for uploading. I saw an old email of yours from early in the year (January?) not that long ago requesting this game, after I fished it out of my spam folder along with another email from Adrian.

Anyway, if memory serves, I imaged the game in lieu of updating the HOL entry last December for Space Vegetables. It's not a bad little romp and a bit like Star Paws on the C64, which apparently coder Peter Johnson wasn't aware of when he coded his game. In the Zone. Enjoy!
