hmm this is indeed a pickle, the cd32 being a 32bit AGA machine, where as the A600 is only 16bit ECS, arguably 80% or more gaming software is ECS only a few titles are exclusive AGA games.

I suppose it comes down to if you want to let the cd32 go. ask yourself why you bought it? was it an 020 with AGA chipset and or access to CD media ?

all but AGA you can aquire on the A600 probably cheaper than upgrading the CD32 with fast ram and harddisk to be honest. but there is the decision you have to make I am afraid to say..

What I will say is that should you decided to sell your cd32 and if you are willing to sell the Analogics disk drive expander seperately I would seriously be interested in as a test-bed platform for my CD32 Accelerator Interface Project.

(to build a CD32 interface that allows it to use A1200 upgrade cards)

according to Analogics website these units are £35 + £11 delivery (aproximately 50 euros) new so there worth a bit of money second hand, how much depends on you and the buyer LOL.

If you do wish to sell the cd32 on, have you could always put it on www.amibay.com

which ever you decide, good luck

@Zetro,
If you are interested by the analogic disk drive expander i could sell it separately or swap for some things for my A600...(would be interesed by an A602 expansion...)

@lolafg

indeed I am interested alas I passed on my A602 to member on these boards, HOWEVER i can easliy modify ones A600 motherboard so you have 2MB chip ram

Inface, I have an A600 motherboard here I could easily modify test and send you with a full working 2mb chip

alas you dont get the clock OR the clock port as you would with an A602

trying to think what I have for the A600 you might want... hmmm

4GB CF card +ide / SFF (laptop) DVD ROM drive + ide adapter / buffered IDE interface

alas I would of offered you some PCMCIA SRAM, but again I pass that onto another member here... hmmmm...

are you looking for anything specific?

@Zetro ,
well I asked for the A602 because of the clock OR and clock Port , i would like later to add a card with usb and if i could find one ,an accelerator card.
I actually have an A601 expansion , 1GB CF card +ide ,4 mb pcmcia sram .
Well , if really you are interessed with my disk drive expander i could sell it to you , i think that 50 euros + postage could be ok.I bought it to analogic computer with the CD32 3 months ago.

@Zetro ,
You are right , that would be better for you to buy it to Analogic's Computers.
Note that if you could have an A602 expansion i would swap it with you without problems.

You cannot add USB to an unaccelerated A600. Accelerators for A600 cost way too much. You should really consider ditching it and going to an A1200.

As for swapping. The CD32fdi's availability and price make it not a good swap.

@Alexh ,
I didn't know that we couldn't do that without an accelerator card , so you are right i don't need an A602 .
Buying an A1200 could be the way .I'll have to think on that !
Thanks.
So i will keep my CD32 with his disk expander !!
