Saving files onto a Gotek
Hey there EAB,
I just wanted to ask this. I'm a bit lost on using this Gotek. It works and all, but I just wanted to know how to save things onto it. I'm aware you could transfer files from a computer to the Amiga by creating an ADF, but I wanted to create things on the Amiga itself and save it onto the Gotek. Is there any way I can do this? I know this is quite a newbie question, but eh. Couldn't find anything about it. |

If memory serves me correctly I created a blank ADF file in WinUAE and then added it to the list of discs in the gotek menu. Then I could switch to it with the little gotek buttons, save my files and I was done.

I don't have a Gotek myself but I think that the Cortex firmware doesn't allow to write files. Only the new HxC allows to write into the emulated floppy.
