Without having the game I can almost guarantee that it's due to the slave being set to require WHDLoad 16+ but not including the new WHDLoad 16 fields like the kickstart pointer etc...

Someone could try this, load KidChaos.slave in a hex editor, change the byte at offset $2d from $10 to $0f and save, see if that works... I'll get DJ Mike onto a fix for it now...

Would it be possible for someone to add a little extension to the whdload for mapping cd32 pad buttons to keys something that could be entered into the tool types
This would benefit me and other people currently working on a new cd32 compilation.
For example when Ninja Remix begins it asks to load a save Y/N, this is the only point in the game it requires a keystroke but it is subsequently an unpassable hurdle for a cd32 pad
There is many other titles like this that can't be added to compilations because of similar problems.
