Amiga's most iconic game characters?

BBC has this article about BAFTA poll in which Lara C tops Mario as the Most Iconic Game Character Ever (and some other WTF things like Baldur's Gate 3 peeps being in the Top 20) which is a topic in itself, but that got me thinking about what are the ones from Amiga?

I guess there must be a topic like that in EABs long history, but my quick search yielded nothing...so here goes. I started thinking about it but instead of going for the obvious Guybrush, Beast, etc, my mind wandered and...

1. Geez & Donkey - It Came From The Desert
2. Alien friend - Another World
3. Beholder - Eye of the Beholder
4. Elvira - Elvira
5. Zak - Zak McKraken
6. Ice Cream Man - Speedball 2
...tbc

It certainly wouldn't be the "alien friend" from Another World, because he got his own game on the Megadrive but not on the Amiga.

You need to look after Amiga exclusive games or which are way better on the Amiga and came first.
I’m thinking of the Beast.

Well surely for the Amiga only it would have to be....

Ikuro, Yuri and Hexaee (Apidya)
Superfrog
Ruff Rodgers (Ruff n Tumble)
Alestes (Agony)
Sinbad Junior (Arabian Nights)
Lori Bergin and Barry Mayers (Battle Squadron)
Valdyn (Lionheart)
Brian (Brian the Lion)
John and Jim (Naughty Ones)
Demona (Capital Punishment)
Ebyrn (Darkmere)
Heimdall and Co. (Heimdall)
Ralph (Sleepwalker)
Electra (Shadow Fighter)
Nik, Dan, Kossak, Ninja (Body Blows)
Any of the characters from Moonstone
Skinheads (Gloom)
Hoi (Hoi)
Billy (Video Kid)
Soldier (Hunter)
H.A.L.F (The Killing Game Show)
Nathan (Brat)
Hammer (Roadkill)

Navvie, Thug, Preacher, Gentleman, Brigand, Mercenary (Chaos Engine
- ported lots, but I always think Amiga for this game)

Jools, Jops, Stoo, RJ (Cannon Fodder - ported lots, but I always think Amiga for this game)

Aarbron (Shadow of the Beast - lets face it, it's instantly associated with the Amiga as the defacto platform despite many ports)

Lemmings (Instantly associated with the Amiga...)

Soccer Kid (again, Amiga is the recognised platform for this - i've heard many times when people play any port of it that they will say "it reminds me of, or feels like an Amiga game")

Infamous ones i can think of would be:

Klont the Kangaroo (Kang Fu)

Yes but without Deluxe Paint there would'nt be someone named Guybrush
(Fair enough it was the MS Dos version of Dpaint but still, the "brush" concept originated ont he Amiga).

I think most people would struggle to name the main characters from Shadow of the Beast, Agony or Lionheart, much as they're iconically Amiga games. A bit of invention and distinction is what makes a character memorable.

Lemmings are probably the main ones that are iconic enough, and largely associated with the Amiga (even if it got released for something like 28 different formats in some form) - certainly more so that the Cannon Fodder soldiers mentioned (who are only really memorable because they're the first ones you get, and only because they're named after the creators) or the Chaos Engine's six available soldiers.

If it has to be just one specific character, something like Putty, Soccer Kid, Zool (my own utter loathing of the first one notwithstanding) or maybe James Pond (though his different look in the sequel might count against him?) will be a lot more attached to the Amiga in people's memories.

You mean an important character from one of the most iconic Amiga games can not be iconic himself? That is certainly an alien logic

Made on Amiga first, as stated everywhere since years by the developper (and made on the Amiga because of its genlock habilities)
In that case only Amiga exclusive games characters are eligible.

Most iconic character.

Character. Not game. I see a lot of characters listed here which I would not really link to the Amiga at all, even if they are in an iconic game on the Amiga.

Good god this is a hard one. Well done. I need to think about it more but for now... Superfrog ranks high on my list even if I'm not a big fan of the game.
