Hi,

The jumpers i have on the CF adapters connect pins 3 and 5 to pin 39 through 5.1k resistors that removes the annoying 15 second IDE init time when using KS3.1 without a CF card inserted. A side effect of having these jumpers enabled is the constant flickering of the activity LED.

if a CF card is installed on the adapter then there is no need for the jumpers to be on. I added this feature basically for me as i do a lot of testing and hated the wait (15 secs or 30 second wait if no floppy)

Ah, so these are different adapters, I though you were talking about standard ones with one slot.

I have two different revision A1200s and an A600 with different CF adapters and cards. They all exhibit IDE light flashing in pretty much the same way.

There are so many different theories here as to the cause, it will be interesting to see which one is correct.

Some of my Kingston and no-name brand CF cards flash on certain adapters on certain Amigas. None of my SanDisk cards have that problem on any of these setups.

My amigakit Kingston 4 Gb c.f. Card does this annoying flickering but my transcend 4gb c.f. Card doesn't.
