Some help for a newbie fellow Amigan....

So here it is. My dream Amiga 1200 with 4meg expansion card and 4GB of CFF games. I need some inspiration from someone. I love the early 3d FPS games. I have checked out Breathless but found it too demanding in terms of my hardware. Which games out there should run as intended with my set up? Also, where would be the best place to download these as WHDload versions?

I am also lacking in finding some neat 2d platform games. I have played to death - Lion Heart, Ruff N' Tumble, Marvins....., Kid Chaos, Jim Power, etc..

Any decent 2d games to reccomend? Could be PD I don't care! I am fairly new to the world of Amiga gaming. I am also interested in music creation, which program would be the best to use for a novice Amigan?

Music: Do you want a tracker, midi or something else?

Just a music creation program. Something that is complete with samples etc..

For 2D platformer: Have you tried BC Kid & Fire and Ice? Both are great imo.

Best PD games for me are, Drip, Deluxe Pacman and Megaball.

My favourite games are AlienBreed 3D, Superfrog, Cadaver, Monkey Island etc.

If it is just the samples. Aminet and other places are full of them. Trackers are Protracker, Octamed, Digibooster, ...

Try the wonderfull Twinworld, Robocod, Unreal, Mr Nutz (far superior on amiga than on genesis/snes despite its inferior gfx), Kid chaos, Snow bros, Rodland, Midnight resistance...

So much more remaining

. But those above are simply excellent, and often much more, like twinworld, one of the best 2D platform game i ever played in all my life !

For music creation you have Protracker of course, but also Startracker (8 voices in mono) and also TFMX player (7 voices), the tool used by chris huelsbeck for Turrican 2 (and others).
