R.I.P Sir Clive Sinclair

https://www.theguardian.com/technolo...r-dies-aged-81

We knew it was coming, but it's still a tough thing to accept. An absolute legend, responsible for so many great memories. Thanks a million, mate.

Amiga might be my biggest micro-love, but ZX was the first. I try to LOAD"' at least one game a day on my trusty 48k, and today it's time for some true classics...

Man, they still can't let go, even 40 years later?

J/k...it's a sad day, but I'd rather concentrate on fun memories.

Never even touched any of his work, but I do enjoyed reading and viewing all the material that's been created about his work. Salute, Sir Clive.

Never had a ZX Spectrum myself, but my first computer was a ZX81, complete with thermal printer. I had great times with only a few game titles available to me.

Your Sinclair were merciless back in the day - but it still makes me chuckle

ZX Spectrum 48K was my first computer!
Much respect to Sir Clive Sinclair for making computers affordable for many families back in the 80s.

R.I.P

My computing days started with a ZX81, IIRC. Typing in programs from a book.

Bought one of his Pocket TV's too, that used a square, flat battery.

To this day, I've never seen anyone on one of those Sinclair C5's.

Never owned a machine, but played loads at friends houses. The impact of the machines is immense.

He gave many a young lad, including this one, the ability to learn computing. In what was (at the time) an extortionatly expensive hobby.

RIP Sir 'Uncle' Clive, you legacy still lives on and will do so for many years to come
