Why Myth's C64 version is better than Amiga version?
I never played it on C64, only Amiga version. I watched a C64 longplay on Youtube and quite understand why it is groungbreaking but what I don't get is why everyone says Amiga version is inferior. It is quite similar game in comparison with better graphics and sound. Do I miss something?

The Amiga version has a jerky scrolling but smoother controls, compared to the C64 game. Not much else to say. Both versions are pretty good.

Is there not a spectrum version or something that wildly differs to the c64/Amiga version? My memory is fuzzy.

The C64 version obviouly has superior music ;-)
Objectively speaking the Amiga version of course looked better, but I think ppl were more impressed with the c64 version. I still have mine on Cartridge ;-) Skickat från min HTC One via Tapatalk |

I never got around to playing it on my C64; had moved on by the time of it's release on this system
![]() ...but I was mighty impressed with the Amiga version at the time and still am to this day. It's an absolute classic, definitely in my top 100 Amiga games, and would recommend to all ![]() |

I take both C64 and Amiga versions equal, I could not deicide which one is better. Both are just great.

The Amiga is superior in every way to the C64 (how evident it is !)
The c64 is an 8 bits computer, it just cannot compete with the Amiga, near or far. |

On a game like Myth, smoothness is an unnecessary luxury, it's not absolutely needed to enjoy the game. The Amiga version is smooth enough to not make the eyes bleeding, so that's what counts. Myth is a great game to play, and beautiful visually, with great sound and music by RJ. |

Yes, it matters in my book because it wouldn't have been impossible to do it properly. Anyway, it's a nice game. Not a real classic though.

As for the 8-bit comment.. Well the PC Engine did well with its 8-bit CPU and minimal amount of RAM (but yes, 16bit gfx)... Skickat från min HTC One via Tapatalk |

Both great versions to be sure, but I reckon the C64 version was banging it's hardware harder.
