scifi - thread title is correct - spelling and grammar!

Example : Name the most overrated Amiga game, before its release <-- Is correct (except the comma after game)

To test this simply write it as

Name the most overrated Amiga game before it is release

That doesn't sound right and to fix it you'd have to change it back or change it to: Name the most overrated Amiga game before it was released

No, no Bippym! I don't mean this title! I know that it's correct now!
When you enter in the Nostalgia & Memories section the title of the thread is wrong and I can't change it!

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo

The screenshots looked cool but the game itself...blah!

Some great ocean games were released that gave me hours of fun, not just on the amiga but on the c64. The thing is I can't think of ocean without thinking of imagine, I think ocean owned them.

Nobody spoke about shit games really. It's about overrated games and I think that most Ocean games in the 80s and early 90s were overrated. Certianly not bad, but hardly above the 70%.

a lot of the ocean games were crap, but none of them overrated because the ones that were utter crap usually got scores around the 30% or lower mark.

I think Addam's Family was overrated though. It was fun, but the inertia totally nerfed it. Luckily they added a way to get 60 or so lives before attempting to finish the game, or else it would have been a real fingernail-unfriendly challenge...

The first thing that came to my mind was that thing called DDT or Dynamic Debugger. Does anyone remember it, it was in the mag "The One" and was supposed to be the first game to run in HAM mode.

Seeing as it was never actually released, it might not qualify though.

I thought the first game to run in HAM was "Mind Walker".

Speaking of HAM games, "Heart of the Dragon" was severely over-hyped. The advertisement says "Graphics so real, you'll forget it's only a game!"

When I actually got the game years later, I found that not only was it total garbage, but the screenshots in the advertisement were faked! The texts in the screenshots were replaced with crisp printed text and the images were cleaned up to remove HAM artifacting and look smoother. What a rip-off.

I remember the Heart of the Dragon ads too. I was not impressed when I saw their booth at the World of Commodore. Their ads were likewise unimpressive.

Tip Off. We were expecting a game that would be to basketball what Kick Off was to football. We instead got a very buggy release that didn't even follow the basic basketball rules correctly.

Zool and Microcosm (in that order)

I remember reading all the hype about Zool and how it was going to be Amiga's answer to sonic and mario, of course I believed it, any self respecting amiga owner (at the time) would I think....

and then I played Zool... wtf... oh well

Microcosm had a good bit of hype too, all for a very poor game...

and hey! I liked Epic from Ocean

Yeah Tip Off really sucks. This game had really no rules, and was full of bugs.
You can run over the sideline, but the referee didn`t care.

Rise of the Robots or Zool. At least some reviewers did see through ROTR.

Yeah Zool got a 96% in Amiga Action - that was a clear case of having eaten too many lollipops to call that a Mario and Sonic killer. Only Castlevania had more horrible loading times on top of that.
