EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 9 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 9 Game Vote

Starts: 00:01 August 30
Finishes: 23:59 September 12

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. If you don't, then you will get the treat of a PM from me, asking you to change your vote. If you still don't change it your vote will be discounted. If you aren't sure feel free to ask.

Edited votes will be discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post. Also you cannot vote for games that have already been played.

Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon. You can only vote once, and also it could cause confusion if you post your vote on both boards - it's easy for it to be counted twice by accident.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state if you want to play the AGA version or not in your vote. If you don't specify we will assume you want the ECS version. If that game wins the vote we will count up the number of ECS and AGA votes and go for the version with most votes - unless the two versions of the games are exactly the same gameplay-wise, then we will use both.

As Robo-Sparkle won Round 8 he gets double voting power for Round 9's voting (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc).

Extras

- Lemon thread

Bugged Games

Lotus 2: The different online versions all have different scoring systems. If Lotus 2 is played everyone must use a special version that will be provided by this board, in WHDload and ADF format (UAE requires A1200 setup, High-Density floppy drive, 4MB Fast RAM).

If you know of any other games that could cause problems please PM me, Biscuit or mihcael.

If someone confirms it I'll change it something else. It's been a while since I played it.

When exactly does this happen? Does it happen on the WHD version? If so I'll give it a go later on if I find the time.

Yes, with WHDLoad version. But it might be only the multiplayer bug... We've always played it with two players and the bug has been there regularly. Usually score resets after 60k-70k points. I haven't noticed any pattern or feature which would cause it. But now I tried with single player game and it didn't happen! I don't know about it then.. maybe it's OK with one player...

Hmm, interesting. I'll give it a go when I get time but I think it'll be okay so if anyone wants to vote for it, feel free. If I find out otherwise I will let you all know.

1. SlamTilt - I'm pretty sure I hold the world record on all tables, which I can achieve more or less consistently.
2.Fire & Ice - I still can't finish it, but I can score more than a million points.
3.All terrain Racing - Loads of fun 1p, sucks balls 2p.
4.Disposable Hero - The only side-scrolling shooter I can actually finish.
5.Virocop - I suck at this one, but it's lots of fun.

Damn, I only just found out about this competition, here's hoping I find time to compete in the next round. Can I play on the side of Lemon even though I'm not registered there? The competition seems to be a bit one sided in favour of EAB, and yes, I am so egocentric/self-confident to think that my prescence on their team would change the result dramatically.

Sadly, I think I may have to join in 2010's season, I'm a bit busy for at least the next couple of months.

Welcome to the compo Rob.

If you want to play for Lemon you'll have to register over there. EAB is doing a lot better this year though Lemon has more active players, last year it was the opposite. You'd probably earn them a win for Slam Tilt

Hopefully you'll find time to join in - if not then there's always next year as you say, not forgetting our Knockout competition over Xmas and New Year.

I didn't know about that one either. Sounds to me like I'll be joining in at that point.

Maybe if you rule out some of the titles I named, until 2010, then I could play them in future competitions. Well, don't count my vote just yet.

Oh, and talk of joining the Lemon team was a little joke. I hope EAB kicks Lemon arse.

Anyway. I've crapped up this thread enough, I'll shut up now.

That's the right spirit for an EAB player
