Issue with JoyMouse

Hi all,

I am making a Workbench boot disc for a CD32, mainly to be able to use the Indivision AGA Mk2 config tool.

I am including JoyMouse on the CD which is executed in the startup sequence to allow joypad control of the mouse pointer, however, I have run into an annoying issue.

When JoyMouse is started, it opens a full screen window like the one below:

This window completely covers my Workbench! If I switch off Backdrop mode on the Workbench (which is not ideal) then the Workbench does sit on top of this window but the menu bar is still covered so I cannot use the right-click menu.

Does anyone know how I can stop the JoyMouse window appearing?

I use command

C:JoyMouse 6

in the startup sequence just before the LoadWB command. I've also tried

C:JoyMouse 6 >NIL:
RUN C:JoyMouse 6
RUN C:JoyMouse 6 >NIL:
RUN C:JoyMouse 6 <NIL: >NIL:

but get the same result.

I admit my AmigaDOS knowledge is severely lacking. Any ideas?

You could try the following

Run > NIL: C:Joymouse 6

Result!

Didn't think of redirecting output from the RUN command. Told you my AmigaDOS knowledge was bad. Thanks to you its now a little better.
