Screenmodes

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but advice would be welcomed!

I've been out of the Amiga scene for years but recently got back into it thanks to the wonderful FS-UAE for my Macbook Pro. I wanted to try out OS4.1 so I bought the Final Edition ISO from Cloanto's website. After a bit of help I managed to get everything working.

I've got Picasso IV mode set to 1440x900 (RGB16) but I want (BGR24). No matter what I set I can't get any more than RGB16.

Any ideas? Or is it a limitation?

Thanks in advance!
Lee

I suppose not enough memory as PicassoIV is 4 MB. That mode <might> need something like 4.8MB - but that's just speculation, I'm no hw wiz.

Yeah good point. I think I got it into my head that it's emulated but obviously it stills uses the PIV rom. Shame, I wouldn't mind more that 65k colours.
