Honestly, i have no idea!
I did the crack just for fun.
I have checked if crack works, but nothing more, i am no gamer (anymore).

I gather you've tried booting the CD32 version with fastram switched off and fpu disabled (if one is present)? Also, have you tried the CD32 emulators included with IDEFix and AsimCDFS?

Yup, tried everything i could. (but , i dont use idefix ...why should i ?)
I even degraded the system for a test.. ( i think with TUDE ... )
After i saw the 1.3 Screen, i tried the Disc version ... same result.

As long as the Shuttle is attached, ARABIAN NIGHTS wont play

(NO MUSIC in the INTRO and BLACK SCREEN after pressing START in the Main Menu)

Same result with WHDLoad

It wasn't a joke, it was a suggestion. There's no reason to use a module that gives you trouble to just play games that would work JUST FINE if you had removed it.

Unless you're into masochism.

Still, over 400 games & 200 Demos working great on it

Only Arabian Nights, Batman - The Movie, Leander, SOTB3 & SOTB2 make troubles ...
ohh, and Soccer Kid have no Music at all.

But thats it. You have no idea how sweet i made my WB
so.. to use only the CD32 is a NO GO
Besides, its a hassle to seperate the 2 Units.

One Guy on the Forum even said that the ProModule/Shuttle is one of the most Compatible, because of the usage of real Commodore Chips......

Anyway, i love this Thing and i will never seperate them

IIRC you don't have to do full installs of AsimCDFS or IDEFix, but both packages contain good CD32 emulators that have coaxed a lot of CD32 games into running on A1200/4000 machines equipped with CDROM drives (and other expansions causing incompatibility like accelerators, fastram etc.). Except for the lack of Akiko support, they did a good job of making expanded A1200/4000s act like an unexpanded CD32 IMHO. They'd be well worth investigating in your case methinks.

your motherboard have several clock issues like my A1200, that's because some games not work

most sensible games to clock related issues are the ones from krisalis

arabian nights : not works it doesn't matter which version
soccer kid AGA or ECS: no music but sfx and game work
sabre team: not works
mad professor mariarti: no music but sfx and game work
Legends AGA: works but no music

for Leander use the JST hardisk version it doesn't freezes like whdload version

Wow, great infos, Sandro

But can you tell me whats up with that "Clock Issue " ?

Its not the fault of the Cd32 Unit ( i have 3 of them )
And the Promoudle Board looks really good.

I removed the Battery for the "clock" but thats "another clock" you mean ? right ?

Please tell me, is that some damage on the Board ?
Is it Dangerous ?

I have noticed that, when i use the Native CD32 CD-Music Player, it freezes at some point ( input locked ) but the music is still playing ... very odd

Of course it is a fault of the CD32, these motherboards came with timing bugs (signal timing, not clock) that need to be fixed when you put accelerators in. The same happens with certain revisions of A1200s.

Never heard of CD32 timing fixes, probably because pretty much no one has accelerators for them, but it makes sense that there are some present, especially if you experience similar issues to A1200s with timing issues.

No, i dont think so, because Arabian Nights & Co all working great on the CD32 alone ( without the Pro-Moule attached )

So, i dont think its the CD32 fault.
( dont forget, i have 3 CD32 Units to test, all with the same result )

Dude you're very stubborn when people are trying to tell you something.
Timing issues happen when you attach an accelerator to an Amiga. An A1200 that needs timing fixes only misbehaves when it has an accelerator connected to it. A CD32, if it has similar issues, would behave the same way.

If all CD32s do the same, all have timing issues.

Only one massive hole in that logic......the ProModule isn't an accelerator. Like the SX-1, it adds basic capabilities in the form of keyboard, HD etc. support to a CD32 to approximate a standard A1200. The ProModule also allows up to 8MB fastram, but it has a switch to deactivate that (which Nibbler has tried without any difference being made).

@Nibbler
I just tried Arabian Nights CD32 on my A1200/030 and was able to get it to run using the CD32 emulator bundled with IDE-Fix. I think there's something strange about this game, though, as it would only work properly by creating a special startup script to boot the A1200 into the CD32 emulator. Creating a special boot disk for the CD32 emulator just locked up my A1200 when trying to launch Arabian Nights off CD, and running the CD32 emulator off HD after booting into Workbench wouldn't get past the game music playing on a black screen (the same behaviour you described with your CD32 + ProModule IIRC).

Anyway, my recommendation is to install IDE-Fix on HD and run the CD32 emulator as I described (i.e. create a special startup script using the supplied installer in the CD32 emulator directory). Unfortunately, you will need to install IDE-Fix itself to use the CD32 emulator bundled with it (you cannot use the CD32 emulator as a standalone utility). I can't say I've ever heard of anyone using IDE-Fix with an expanded CD32 before, but give it a try.....you have nothing to lose!

the clock related issues or timing issues are related to the the cpu clock, if the signal is clean or not, this can be tested using an oscilloscope

check here for more info
http://www.ianstedman.co.uk/Amiga/am..._mobo_fix.html

surely there is no damage in promodule board, just it adds timing issues to the CD32

yet with clock issues my A1200+ 020/28mhz turboboard is capable to run 99% of the games excepting the most sensible ones I posted above
*******************************************
some other games that for strange reasons don't work here:

Aladdin: floppy version: crash after the cracktro, whdload version works fine
Archon: whdload version not works

Cool spot: works on my A1200 but is a strange game I heard never worked on the CD32 ( test it)

if you have free time test them , with and without promodule and post results

Well, I've narrowed it down to the intro causing problems on expanded AGA machines. I've just upped to the Zone a HD/WB fixed version of Arabian Nights CD32 using an installer by Dr Zarkov (see HERE and the README file in the archive).

The beauty of this HD fixed version is that it will allow you to skip the intro completely and go straight into the game, and throws in a quit back to Workbench option for good measure! What I found in tests on my A1200/030 is that the game part itself works perfectly, but the intro (which uses JST for degrading in Dr. Zarkov's patch) causes problems and plays music on a black screen and will not proceed any further.

Please test this Nibbler before trying the IDE-Fix solution I suggested. If anyone else would like to test it and report back, then please do.

Still, same result after testing the rescent version from the zone.

I think i will never see Arabian Nights on the Pro-Module running....

PS: For SANDRO.
Cool Spot works on my Amiga CD32 Units, even expanded... Greetings & BIG Thanks for all those Infos.

Sorry Akira, i didn´t know that´s the reason. I just assumed that it was the fault of the pro-module, because when attached to the cd32, some games like Arabina Nighs wont work.

So, i learned something new. Thanks Akira.
