Is it possible to hack savestates in Winuae

There are some things I hacked in the savestates, but when I load the savestate, everything still stays the same. Is there a way to make sure the changes actually happen in the savestate?

Are you sure you changed correct bytes? Same looking data can be located in multiple addresses. (Game may unpack data to address x and then move it to address y)

UAE only cares about the structure and metadata of statefiles, register and memory contents can be freely modified. (if statefile is uncompressed)

In the Winuae debugger, when I press e, does the long list of codes show speed for bullets in Battle Squadron. There is Color Palette which I can change through the adf file. I'm trying to code how rapidly not fast, but how rapidly the enemies fire the bullets. It can't be found in the options menu in the game, because this speed is only available in the end of the game. I'm trying to put in the beginning of the game.
