Rubicon, you can't complete the game

Hi there!

I want to report a bug/error for Rubicon
You can't complete the game, cause in the last two levels (level 6 and 7) it crashes. Sometimes during loading screen and sometimes while you're playing
You can try with savestates in different points, but the bug will come at somepoint. Screen-freeze and this:

Someone reported this bug in 2008, you can read it here

But seems this error wasn't fixed

I tried everything but nothing. I mean, in 10 attempts, only one time (if you're lucky) no bug, despite I was doing the same things

I inserted the bug on mantis.whdload.de

Anyway, in these days, I used ADF files, and the bug still present event you play with A500 configuration, 68000 config

The longplays on YT seem to finish ok with no mention of game bug?

Have you tried to follow any of the longplays? Or possibly not use savestates? Try using a trainer instead.

Yep mate, I saw the longplay on YT and seems ok, strange, cause I'm not the only one with this bug. People who reach penultimate level, had same crash

I didn't use savestates during my run. I tried to use cracked version too, for example one on these has a command to skip level
I used it, skipping from level 1 to 5. So, I played only level6 and 7, and no bug
But if you want to complete the game from level1 to 7, without skip level button, the game crash

Go to 31m20s, it's the boss of level6 and then you can see the crash

please use whdload 18.6. you're using currently 18.5.

Also check which slave version you're using. The problem described only happens with the slave v1.0

Thanks for looking into this guys. We are playing Rubicon in the Superlegue right now, and we only found this out after a couple of people made it that far.

Giro - Can you play up to that point in the game and then make a Savestate for JOTD to look at it. This is what is needed to see what is causing the issue with that crack. You reported that if you use certain weapons, it crashes, so save the game during the level with the issue and then test the savestate to make sure it still crashes.

I read recently that the console version of rainbow islands (SMS, GG) can't be completed either due to a crash near the end of the game. That's got to have been an expensive mistake on a cartridge.
