Shit Game Time, Cliffhanger (Amiga)
It's Friday!,...and what better way to start the weekend off with a brand new "Shit Game Time"
This time I'll be playing and Shit-rating "Cliffhanger" on the Amiga A500, this is a paid request by youtuber "Ray C", I hope you enjoy it more than I found playing it! Cliffhanger (Amiga): [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by ZEUSDAZ; 23 April 2021 at 16:47. |

Doesn't look too bad overall except for the pixel-perfect jumping requirement... which for a platformer is an instant-mdk. Also it looks like there is a slight delay in the attack cycle.
Unpolished is the idea I get here. And that for a game bearing the Psygnosis logo. Tsk tsk. I'd play it just for the bird punching, looks satisfying. |

For Amiga standards,...especially considering the beauty's we got on that machine years before it (Ruff 'N Tumble comes to mind), it really is a dreadful game with dreadful Snessy sounding music and zero fun, just utter garbage. |

I bought this game as it was cheap for a big box release. It had a nice box and the Psygnosis logo. Surly it had to be good. The game was a huge let down once I got it home and loaded. I should looked harder at the screenshots
I came home with Dracula as well. A bit better but overall , but that was a bad weekend with birthday money not well spent |

I, for one, remember when in the movie, Stallone punched birds of prey and foxes (wolves?) while jumping around the wilderness.

haha no. He didn't do that. The movie setting (climbing) is way too difficult to translate into a game, so let's just do a platformer with pics of Stallone in it.

I still wonder why they choose the NES version to convert instead of the Megadrive version. Seemed to be easier to convert the Megadrive version.

The only reason Psygnosis did them was because Sony had bought them by that time, so Cliffhanger, Dracula and Last Action Hero were foisted upon them, Psygnosis didnt choose to do them
