Why is the game now called "Space Machine"?

Also funny that most screenshots and many scenes in the trailer video are from my PC version. (which will be finally done this year, too)

In case it isn't clear: I have nothing to do with *that* version, nor do I know why Krister made another attempt without informing me.

Then I'm not interested. Classic games must be released on classic hardware.
BTW why the Amiga-version was not released? Is the source still available?

True, but no one is skilled enough and willing to do an Amiga version.

The source code of the Amiga demo was posted to The Zone long time ago, but it's not that useful. As for the rest, re-read: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=27118

If someone shows interest in doing an Amiga version (not me, we know where that went), then the source code is essential for getting the game to behave the same as the peecee version.

What about 218,334 lines of assembly code for the PC version?

It's very odd o strange.
They have shown the original Amiga demo version http://www.retrospelsmassan.se/2014/...forsta-gangen/

Then, they are not going to offer this demo version?

No, that's *not* the original Amiga demo! It's the PC version currently being developed.

Ok, but..

"We’ll show both the Amiga demo that we have the pre alpha of our current development of 1993."

http://www.1993game.com/

I have also read that when he discovered the game was almost finished. 95%

It was written in x86 assembler? Madness

Just out of curiosity, as far as you know, will the two versions be different, have different content?

Not wanting to offend anyone, but parts of the story written there seem to be made-up. At least, it's a contradiction to what Krister posted here during 2007-2009. Also, he had to create many new enemies out of old graphics, all storyboards etc. for the PC version (which I'm working on since 2007), because the game was not "almost finished" back then. Or maybe the term "almost" is just a bit overstated in this context. The 95% may refer to the graphics only.

@Thorham:
No, but the compiler I use creates assembly code as an intermediate step.

I know nothing about the other version. But from the trailer video, it seems the differences are minor. Some enemies are smaller and use different colors, for example. My version will reflect the game as Krister wanted it to be in 2009.

Reading again, the pre-alpha was most likely the 1-level demo that we all know. That one is available. I'm pretty sure it can even be found at Aminet.

I have it, but it's somewhere buried in one of my backups. Have to look for it.

In the meantime, you can still play the 2009 PC demo:
