@JudasEZT
This is very cool looking. Great job! Yeah, unique beat em up would be also great. The important thing (for me) would be to copy Capcom fighing moves and feel. So, for example, "grab" move is a must. I don't know if mcgeezer played any arcade Capcom beat em up's, or if he is interested in the genre at all (I hope that the answer for both question is "yes"). I think Richard Aplin (coder for the Final Fight) didn't understand the very basic principles of good beat em up, and gameplay feel. With some tweaks, even current Final Fight would be more then acceptable. |

Games like final fight and 1-1 fighters always come down to the limitations of the controls. You could make the best Amiga fighting game ever but they will always be beat by those games on the consoles simply because they had more buttons to press for different moves. |

Also, we have some great 1:1 beat em ups (Mortal Kombat, for example). As for the buttons, why not making it on 2 buttons (jump, and fire), no need for anything else for beat em up. We can play from keyboard, or genesis pad (I would even purchase some 2 buttons joystick). I am not insisting on anything... just saying ... whatever new game/port you choose, I will look forward to play it, and kudos for all the work you already did on Rygar. |

sorry for the OT, but:
Once again, I really have no idea why Amiga users are not having a problem of spending hundreds to thousands of euros in upgrades for their machines, but cannot be arsed to spend 15 bucks on a Joypad or -stick that has more than one button. |

Would there be any point remaking such a game and having 1 button joystick?

I would LOVE a quality Shinobi or Rolling Thunder port. I voted Shinobi only because as a kid I enjoyed the Shinobi gfx more.

Well it has to be Final Fight, of course. Because Amiga never got the arcade port.
No, it didn't !!! |

The Amiga needs a better version of Castlevania for sure.

Considering that You'll make game for AGA hardware (A1200/4000/CD32) there is support for up to seven buttons with CD32 joypad or compatible (e.g. KTRL32) even on A1200 and A4000 (with lowlevel.library). |

Shinobi on the other hand, is one of the worst ports ever on the Amiga for so many reasons; graphics / scrolling etc. The Sega Master System version is way better... or even the Commodore 64 version, so something is very wrong there. |

Sorry, but cannot agree with this.
First of all game is cuted and reduced everywhere. Not only graphically (reduced colors, less details), but also by quality and quantity. Enemies just appears on main field, not out from doors, etc. There is less objects (crates and barells, weapons and other bonuses, etc), less enemies, less details in gamefield and background. Second, that one button system is horrible. Overally gameplay is little rigid when compared to other versions (except of course 8-bit ones). For me it's same case with Shinobi and Final Fight - both games should be better for Amiga. |

Curse of issyos (Castlevania clone) probably the A500 can do it.
Or Maldida Castilla, probably too much for A500 |

Both shinobi and rolling thunder could have almost near perfect ports on a500, certainly on a1200
How about Speed Rumbler? It's a great game that never got a port to any home system AFAIK Although an original game might be better.. Even if it was inspired by a classic coin-op |

I would like to see McGeezer's talents put to his own game and further more I'd like to see it use some of the more powerful features of AGA and maybe even higher CPUs. I know the ratio of target users is lower but more and more of us have AGA and higher (there's going to be a LOT more Vampire users soon in theory) and I personally don't think there's enough stuff out there to really justify the existence of the more powerful hardware. At least from a gaming point of view anyway. Note that I'm aware of all the SDL ports and the 1st person 3D stuff but I don't mean that, I mean original content and preferably 2D since (again in my opinion) 3D looks like sh*t on the Amiga.

Does it have to be a beat em‘ up?
I’d love to see ‚Star Trek: The Revel Universe‘ on the Amiga. Almost bought an Atari because of that game back then. I was really into Star Trek at that time... |
