A500 Multi-Expansion (RAM, HDD, Network) - Experiment

From my previous ramblings, some progress has been made on the A500 expansion. The Amiga powers the BeagleBone ARM processor - so far I have the high byte address lines and the AS/RW/UDS/LDS connected to a multiplexer. The PRU on the BeagleBone is running (as I am scanning the chip-select lines on the 74HCT244 IC's)

Next is to get the data from the PRU back in to linux userland to see if the addresses are correct and the wires are good. (The PRU_ICSS is used for that purpose)

The end goal is to emulate 4/8MB of RAM, Clock and Hard disk. (I hope to do similar on a A600 as I have two - but would fall short of a A1200 as I don't have one of those dream machines - hint hint

)

Hi Richard,

I happen to have 1200 (towerized version) and a BeagleBone without a job.
If the 'hint hint' is to assist/help I'll give it a try, I'm not going to donate the system ;-)

there is a project that uses a RPI on the memory expansion slot to do some other tricks, mp3, video and the like... perhaps talk to the guys behind it? combine resources? who know where it could lead - eitherway the Amiga is need of more low cost upgrade solutions so nice work!
