I'm finally selling my Psygnosis Amiga 1200

It has been with me for over 25 years, but the time has come to let the beast go. I used it for 6+ years at Psygnosis from the Amiga era to the Playstation era.

Here's the list of games that I used it for:

Armour Geddon 2 (Amiga)
Theatre Of Death (Amiga)
Last Action Hero (Amiga, Mega-CD)
Brian The Lion (Amiga)
Wiz 'n' Liz (Amiga)
Globdule (Amiga)
Dracula (Mega-CD)
Scavenger IV (Mega-CD)
Lemmings 2 (SNES)
Mega Apocalypse 2 (SNES)
Frankenstein (Mega-CD)
Super Dropzone (SNES)
Myst (Playstation)
Krazy Ivan (Playstation / PC)
Lemmings Paintball (Playstation / PC)
Formula 1 (Playstation / PC)
Destruction Derby 2 (Playstation / PC)
Lifeforce: Tenka (Playstation / PC)
Monster Trucks (Playstation)
Tellurian Defence (PC)
F1 '98 (Playstation)
Psybadek (Playstation)

The Amiga stuff was Protracker, sound effects creation, or the development of my sound effects player/synth (using Devpac 2) that was used in Brian The Lion and Wiz n Liz.

For the Mega-CD, one of the programmers converted the Protracker player so everything was still done in Protracker.

For the SNES Lemmings 2 and Mega Apocalypse 2, I would write stuff in Protracker, and then convert it by hand to the hex data format for David Whitaker's SNES music driver. For Super Dropzone, I used Bars & Pipes Pro and exported a MIDI file.

Myst was a funny one. I did the sound effects for it. They wanted the audio to be identical to the original PC version, so because all of the original samples were such poor quality, editing on the Amiga was fine. I created new samples where they were missing and used the existing ones where available. The stupid thing was that I had some full-quality samples from the same sample CD that they'd originally used, but they didn't want the full quality samples, they insisted on having the crap quality versions from the original. Madness.

For the other Playstation or PC games, I used Bars & Pipes Pro for all of the sequencing. Everything was to create CD-audio, except Lemmings Paintball where I exported a General MIDI file.

All of my sample editing on the Amiga was done using Audio Engineer. I still have the original disk and will be giving it away with the A1200.

I'm happy to answer questions about it or its usage at Psygnosis, or anything else really.

Wow!

Don't sell it!

....oh I'll be bidding. I'm not expecting to win the bidding. And if I do, well I'll be getting a divorce I guess

Thank you for your work.

You will feel homeless soon... and regret having sell it

PS: Don't you have in your floppies or "saved somewhere HD" any files/work that can be given to the community ? Before they get lost forever in the deep meanders of oblivion ?...

I must say it's hovering at a very reasonable price.

Congrats on the sale and to the lucky bidder.

I think it went very reasonably.

Nice machine from a great game developer. I bought a ton of Psygnosis games way back when.
